“I got so tired of attending ‘retreats’ I seriously considered surrendering. And that’s when I crafted the concept of Advance to bring together powerful minds stoked with creativity, imagination & wisdom.” – Hal Newman
Have you ever gone to a conference and been asked to share your wisdom, experience and creativity to help solve a problem in the real world?
Have you ever wrapped-up a workshop by delivering an actionable plan to an organization in need of a solution – and received a follow-up that the plan you helped craft had indeed been implemented?
Isn’t it time for a change ?
We believe there are many who walk amongst us who would like nothing better than provide support for the uncommon good. They know they can help. They just don’t know how.
And so TEMS created Advance to enable some of the wisest, most creative, most successful, wildly imaginative minds to solve real problems for real organizations.
An Advance is not a conference. An Advance is based on a model TEMS has used with clients to resolve serious organizational issues in a set period of time. No one leaves until an actionable solution is hammered out. We are striving to go long on the execution of big ideas, one actionable step at a time.
An Advance is a very limited [some might even describe it as 'competitive'] invitation-only gathering – 25-30 people from a broad range of interests – in an environment [healthy food, serious wine list and beautiful sunsets] designed to fuel high-intensity discussions and problem solving.
The participation fee [you need to participate] includes two nights accommodation at the Advance base camp, your meals, and at least one off-site session. And when we say ‘base camp’ you need to be thinking in terms of world-class inns, hotels & resorts surrounded by breathtaking landscapes.
We don’t just craft a solution for a given problem. We giftwrap it with a significant donation to assist with implementation – and working with our UGN [Uncommon Good Network] partners, we provide Solution Stewards to help provide guidance going forward.
Advance: gathering for uncommon good.
